The Dragon Mentor Network

Academy Award winners.

James Beard honorees.

Editors who shaped culture.

And they're all here to help the next generation get started.

The Network

30+ mentors across film, television, advertising, music, fashion, journalism, dance, video games, podcasting, photography, and design — all volunteering their time to help the next generation get started.

The roster includes an Oscar-winning screenwriter whose film was nominated for Best Picture. An editor who built the voice of Pitchfork. The CMO who launched Dove's "Campaign for Real Beauty." A concept artist whose work has shaped blockbuster video games. An investigative journalist at The Intercept. A James Beard Award–winning producer from Munchies. Choreographers whose work has been performed at the Venice Biennale and across NYU's stages. Published novelists, podcast producers, and the founders building the next generation of creative businesses.

They span Los Angeles, New York, Oakland, Chicago, and beyond.

"I wouldn't be here without the guidance and kindness of mentors who believed in me. Their impact on my life fuels my desire to be that person for someone else."

— Cord Jefferson, Academy Award–winning Writer and Director

— Christine Griffith, Fashion Consultant and Brand Marketer

"This is such a powerful program. I'm so honored to be a part of this and my mentee conversations have been so rewarding for me as well. I'm having a lot of fun with it!"

— Jordan Cohen, VP of Television at Searchlight Pictures

How It Works

Thoughtful introductions

We pair recipients with mentors based on craft, chemistry, and stage of journey. No mass access, no open directories.

Meaningful connections

A mentorship might be a single conversation that opens a door, or a relationship that keeps unfolding.

Mutual respect

Recipients aren't here to be rescued. They've already earned their place. Mentors aren't here to lecture. They're here to share what they've learned.
